Geert Wilders’ Speech in Florida

April 28, 2009 4:46 pm Dalwhinnie Freedom of Speech,Islam and the West

Geert Wilders spoke in Florida recently. His speech can be found on Youtube, but in case you are in a meeting where you cannot play the video, reading this may arouse your sympathies.

GEERT WILDERS’ FREEDOM OF SPEECH SUMMIT

I wish I had come to a place they call they call sunshine state with better news but it would be very unwise to deny that the situation indeed is very gloomy, and it might take a while for you to understand the situation that we are in now. Maybe you as Americans still think that Europe is a place with a great culture and a profound way of looking at things. Maybe you see immigration as something that is inherently good for our country as it contributed so much for the United States, and I understand that. But Ladies and Gentleman the Europe as you know it from visiting Europe or from stories from your parents or friends or whoever, is on the verge of collapsing.

We are now witnessing profound changes that will forever alter Europe’s destiny and might send the Continent in what Ronald Reagan once called: “A thousand years of darkness.

And the takeover of Europe, that is currently taking place, is part of a global fight, a global fight of Islam for World domination.

Let me tell you first, that Islam is not a religion. Islam is a totalitarian political ideology. Islam hearts lies at the Koran and the Koran is a book that calls for hatred, that calls for violence, for murder, for terrorism, for war and submission.

The Koran calls upon Muslims to kill Kuffars, non-Muslims. The Koran describes Jews as monkeys and pigs, and Churchill, and I agree with him, Churchill compared the Koran, the book in the 50’s, to Adolf Hitlers book Mein Kampf.

Ladies and Gentleman the core of the problem with Islam is twofold, First, the commands of the Koran are not limited by place or time, they apply for all time, to all Muslims of the World.

Second, the Koran is Allah’s personal words that leaves no room for interpretation, therefore, there is not such a thing as a moderate Islam. Of course, there are many moderate Muslims, but a moderate Islam does not exist.

As the Turkish Prime Minister Mr. ErdoÄŸan once rightfully said, he said: “There is no moderate Islam, Islam is Islam”

Apart from the Koran, the life of the Prophet Mohammed is very important for you to understand, in order to understand this terrible ideology. Mohammed plays the crucial part in this Islamic totalitarian ideology. Mohammed in fact is the role model for all Muslims in the World but, who was Mohammed? Mohammed, in fact was a paedophile, was a conqueror, was a Warlord and in establishing Islam he preached violence and the slaughter of non-Muslims.

He took part in 78 battles and slaughtered the Jewish tribe of Banu Qurayzah and Mohammed once said and I quote: “I have been ordered by Allah to fight against people until they testify that there is no God but Allah and that Mohammed is his messenger”

And, indeed, Mohammed’s behaviour inspired Iran’s former leader the Ayatollah Khomeini to say and I quote: “The purest joy in Islam is to kill and be killed for Allah”

And Mohammed’s behaviour and the Koran inspired Jihadists all over the World to slaughter innocent people like they did in Washington, in New York, in Madrid, in London and in Mumbai.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Islam has always intended to conquer Europe and it has done so for centuries.

The Christian city of Constantinople fell in the 15 century and now in the 21st century. Islam is trying again, but this time, not with Armies, but through the application of Al Haya the Islamic doctrine of migration. As expounded so masterfully by my good friend Sam Solomon in his (book ?????) The doctrine that is based on the example of Mohammed who himself migrated from Mecca to Medina.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the Libyan leader Muammar al-Gaddafi said and he unfortunately is correct, and I quote: “We have 50 million Muslims in Europe and there are signs that Allah will grant Islam victory in Europe, without swords, without guns, without conquest. The 50 million Muslims of Europe will turn Europe into a Muslim continent within a few decades.” Ladies and Gentlemen, unfortunately Gaddafi is right.

The Al Haya doctrine is and has been very successful in Europe for the first time in World history there are dozens of millions of Muslims living far outside the dark area of Islam, the Islamic World, and that poses enormous problems to the West.

Ladies and Gentlemen AlHaya may be the end of the Western civilization as we know it, for Islam is not coming to our societies to integrate or to assimilate but wants to dominate, and wants to submit us all, and the most dramatic situation is the one in Europe today.

My country is in the process of becoming Hollandistan as Europe is becoming in the process of becoming Eurabia. Only 12 percent of the German Muslims see themselves more German than Muslims, and churches throughout Europe are emptying out whereas Mosques are shooting up like mushrooms. Many evil phenomena such as Burqas, honour killings, female genitalia mutilations are becoming more and more prevalent.. Sharia testaments, Sharia mortgages, Sharia schools, Sharia banks, Sharia courts and even sharia Barbie dolls–Europe has them all today.

And I have not even mentioned the fact that for instance 70 percent of all crimes in the European city like Copenhagen are committed by Muslims. Indeed, we let in the Trojan Horse and the free World is now facing a Stealh Jihad, the Islamic attempt to introduce Sharia Law, bit by bit (or hit by hit?).

Allow me to give you a few examples also of the Islamization here in the United States:-

Muslim taxi drivers in Minneapolis have refused over 5,000 passengers because they were carrying alcohol. Muslim students are demanding separate campus housing. Muslim women are demanding separate hours and gyms, and swimming pools. Schools are already banning Halloween and Christmas celebrations. Indeed, schools are taking pork off their cafeteria menus to avoid Muslim students.

Ladies and Gentlemen, be aware that this is only the beginning. If things continue like this, you will have the same problems that we are facing in Europe today. And if we do not stop the process of Islamization, I am sure we will lose everything, we will lose our identity, we will lose our culture, we will lose our Democratic Constitutions, we will lose our freedom, we will lose our Civilization.

In Europe we are already losing the fight for freedom of speech. We are losing the fight to criticize Islam and I think that criticizing religions and ideologies, always, always ought to be possible in a free World. Human rights exist for the protection of individuals, not religions and certainly not ideologies. S|o I propose that all the hate speech laws in Europe are to be repealed.

Europe ought to defend the freedom of speech.

In fact Europe should adopt a U.S. model like the First Amendment. The difference between United States and Europe and the area of free speech is for instance shown by the example of my short film Fitna.

A few months ago, I was invited to show Fitna in the Senate, in your democratic Senate, by Senator Jon Kyl and in contrast to that the screening of my film Fitna was banned twice in the terrible European Parliament, and let us see to which the Freedom of Speech is exercized not only in Washington DC but also in Brussels and Strasbourg, and that is why we do need a European First Amendment.

Ladies and Gentlemen, there is one country in our Western Civilization that has been forced to fight the forces of Jihad for its values since the very day of its existence: Israel the Canary in the Coal Mine. Let me say a few words about that wonderful country.

I had the privilege myself to live in Israel for a few years and since then I have visited that country many, many times.. Why? Because I love it, I do love Israel.

However, in Europe, being Pro-American, being Pro-Israel makes you an endangered species. Israel is a Beacon of Light in an area, the Middle East, that is pitch black everywhere else.

Israel is a Western Democracy, whilst Syria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and all the other countries in the region are medieval dictatorships. And the so-called Middle East conflict, as you all know it, is not about land at all. It’s a conflict about, once again, about ideologies. It’s a conflict and a battle between Islam and Freedom. It’s not about some land in Gaza or Judea or Samaria, it’s about Jihad.

To Islam the whole of Israel is occupied territory. They see Tel Aviv and Haifa as settlements as well, and I am very much in favour of a two state settlement solution but then the two state solution from Winston Churchill in 1921, when Palestine was partitioned into a Jewish and an Arab part, Arab Palestine, Ladies and Gentlemen, is now called Jordan and I think that Jordan is the Palestinian State.

Islam forces Israel to fight. Israel is not just fighting for itself, Israel is fighting for all of us, for the entire West, just like those brave American soldiers who landed in Sicily in 1943 and stormed the Normandy beaches in 1944.

Young Israeli men today, young Israeli Women today, are fighting for our freedom, are fighting for our civilization, and like Bosnia, like Kosovo, like Nigeria, like Sudan, like the Caucasus, like Kashmir, like Southern Thailand, like Western China and the South of the Phillipines, Israel is situated exactly on the dividing line between dar el Islam, the Islamic World and dar al Harb the non-Islamic World. It is no coincidence that it is precisely this dividing line, where blood is flowing and war is raging in many many areas.

And, we have to get rid of that politically correct fallacy that it is all about separate conflicts, it’s not. Let us please allow ourselves at least to see the big picture, which is, that all those conflicts, have to do with Jihad, Jihad in the spirit of Mohammed. Ladies and Gentlemen, Europe ought to fully back Israel to the hilt and help us fight against those that threaten it, whether it’s Hezbollah, whether it’s Hamas, or Nuclear Iran. Also, because of its history, Europe has certainly the moral duty and obligation to prevent at all cost, another Holocaust against the Jewish people.

Ladies and Gentlemen, still Islam is not our No. 1 problem, our No. 1 problem is called “Cultural Relativism,” the Elites that rule our countries have converted us to this sick philosophy a long time ago. Government leaders, Judges, even Churches, Trade Unions, Universities, the Media, all of them are blinded by political correctness and have chosen the side of Islam. They feel sorry for Muslims and pity them. “Cultural Relativism” is weakening the West day by day. As a result of this “Cultural Relativism” a little bit of the Free West dies everyday. Many Politicians, seem to believe, unfortunately, that their job is not to defend democracy but to help to make the transition to Sharia as smooth as possible.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I am often asked whether I have any answers to all the problems that I mention or what those answers might be. Well, let me tell you, I certainly have a lot of answers. Here are a few things that I believe we should do in the West, to stop the Islamization.

First, I have already said it, we have to stop the idea of “Cultural Relativism.” Get rid of the misconception that all cultures are equal. They are not. Our culture based on Christianity, on Judaism and Humanism is far better than the Islamic culture. So we should stop it.

We should also stop pretending that Islam is a religion, sure, it has religious symbols, but it’s not a religion. It is a totalitarian ideology and the right to religious freedom should not apply to Islam.

We should stop the mass immigration from Muslim countries. We have to stop it, today. No more immigrants from Muslim countries. We have to stop the Al Haya .

We have to encourage the voluntary repatriation. We have to expel criminals. We have to expel criminals with dual nationality even if we have to de-naturalize them and send them back to their homelands. I think we need a European First Amendment to strengthen our freedom of speech.

I think we have to have a contract, in any Western Country, a contract, a binding contract signed by everybody there, of Assimilation. We need a Pledge of Allegiance in all Western countries for people to adhere to our values as well.

We have to stop the building of new Mosques. We have to close the Mosques where incitement of violence is taking place.

We have to close down Islamic schools, for they are fascist institutions, where young people are brought up with an ideology of violence. And, last but not least, we have to get rid of the weak leaders that we have.

We have the privilege, until today, to live in a democracy, and let us use that privilege in order to exchange our own values.

We need indeed, in our Western World today, we need more leaders, we need more Churchill’s and we need less Chamberlain’s. We need strong leaders like we have here today, like Alan West and Adam Hasner, we need strong men like that.

Ladies and Gentlemen, in short, we have to go on the offensive; my message of this evening is that we have to go on the offensive. We have to start fighting back, there is no alternative other than fighting back. We must no longer allow ourselves to remain seated in our armchairs and get trampled over. If they bombard us with Sharia Law as they do, then we shall bombard them back with our Human Rights and our Freedom of Speech. if they bombard us with all their court cases we will bombard them back with all our court cases, against them. We have to fight back and show them indeed millions, millions of people….

I assure you that I will continue my struggle for Freedom, and indeed a struggle it is.

After Fitna had been screened for the first time last year, there were threats. Don’t ever dare to criticize Islam publicly, you will get threats of Economical Boycotts, your flag, like the dutch flag will be burnt all over the World You will be prosecuted, like I am to be prosecuted in my own home country, and also in France and Jordan, I face prosecution.

I have been barred from entering the United Kingdom, Lord Malcolm Pearson just spoke about it, but also barred from going to Indonesia.

The most radical Imam in the Netherlands is threatening to sue me and demanding a compensation, and a Parliamentary Bill, even today in the Netherlands in my own country, is currently being drafted with the aim of protecting Islam from criticism, and on top of all this, because of my view of Islam anybody else who dares to stand up and criticize Islam, Al Qaeda is there determined to kill me, and others who speak out against Islam.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I told you I was going to be blunt, I was going to be tough, but there is no alternative for this. In spite all this bad news, fortunately there is also some good news I can share with you and there is no doubt in my mind that at the end of the day, even though it is five minutes to twelve, Freedom will prevail. There are already some hopeful signs.

For instance, last week, in my own Parliament in the Dutch Parliament, they accepted a motion, a resolution, proposed by my own Party, seeking to block any dialogue between Government Officials and Hamas. And, according to the most recent opinion polls, already for months now, if elections were to be held in the Netherlands today, my own Party, the Freedom Party, will be the largest Party in the Netherlands. So you might be looking at the next Prime Minister of the Netherlands. So, I ask you, if it can be done in the Netherlands, why not throughout the whole Western World.

If the Netherlands were the first country to end up the Multi-Culturalist Swamp why can’t it be the first Country to find a way out. Why are there not other countries where people stand up and win the elections and make some changes.

Finally, Ladies and Gentlemen, of course, we in Europe, we in the Netherlands, I myself, have not forgotten to whom we owe our Liberties. Our Liberties were bitterly fought for by American Soldiers. American soldiers fought, bled, and died for the European freedom. American soldiers did not die for an Islamized Europe, they died for a free Europe. We owe, we owe something to those brave men, those brave American men, their legacy can not be squandered and cannot be given away. The third President and his spiritual father of this great Nation, once said and I quote: “The price of Freedom is eternal vigilance” as so often Thomas Jefferson was right.

Our freedom must be safeguarded, and it is, we, ourselves, as we are sitting here, that must do so, that must act. A period of inattention of dropping our guard, for even a short while, might cost us our freedom, just like that. It has happened before in history, please let us not allow it to happen again.

Everything we stand for has to be defended, everything we are, everything we have, with all our might, our identity, our culture, our democracy, our freedom and our civilization is at stake.

We owe it, Ladies and Gentlemen, to our children.

So Ladies and Gentlemen, I leave you with the expression of our determination. We will never give up, we will never give in, we will never never, ever, surrender. Thank You.

[1] Austrian MP Ewald Stadler addresses Turkish Ambassador:
GEERT WILDERS SPEECH: BERLIN October 2, 2010

Dear Friends,

I am very happy to be here in Berlin today. As you know, the invitation which my friend René Stadtkewitz extended to me, has cost him his membership of the CDU group in the Berlin Parliament. René, however, did not give in to thepressure. He did not betray his convictions. His dismissal prompted René to start a new political party. I wish him all the best. As you may have heard, the past weeks were extremely busy for me. Earlier this week we succeeded in forging a minority government of the Liberals and the Christian-Democrats which will be supported by my party. This is an historic event for the Netherlands. I am very proud of having helped to achieve this. At this very moment the Christian-Democrat Party conference is deciding whether or not to approves this coalition. If they do, we will be able to rebuild our country, preserve our national identity and offer our children a better future.

Despite my busy schedule at home, however, I insisted on coming to Berlin, because Germany, too, needs a political movement to defend German identity and to oppose the Islamization of Germany. Chancellor Angela Merkel says that the Islamization of Germany is inevitable. She conveys the message that citizens have to be prepared for more changes as a result of immigration. She wants the Germans to adapt to this situation. The Christian-Democrat leader said: “More than before mosques will be an integral part of our cities.”

My friends, we should not accept the unacceptable as inevitable without trying to turn the tide. It is our duty as politicians to preserve our nations for our children. I hope that René’s movement will be as successful as my own Partij voor de Vrijheid, as Oskar Freysinger’s Schweizerische Volkspartei in Switzerland, as Pia Kjaersgaard’s Dansk Folkeparti in Denmark, and similar movements elsewhere.

My good friend Pia recently spoke in Sweden at the invitation of the Sverigedemokraterna. She said: “I have not come to mingle in Swedish domestic politics because that is for the Swedish people to be concerned with. No, I have come because in spite of certain differences the Swedish debate in many ways reminds me of the Danish debate 10-15 years ago. And I have come to Sweden because it is also a concern to Denmark. We cannot sit with our hands in our lap and be silent witnesses to the political development in Sweden.”

The same applies for me as a Dutchman with respect to Germany. I am here because Germany matters to the Netherlands and the rest of the world, and because we cannot establish an International Freedom Alliance without a strong German partner.

Dear friends, tomorrow is the Day of German Unity. Tomorrow exactly twenty years ago, your great nation was reunified after the collapse of the totalitarian Communist ideology. The Day of German Unity is an important day for the whole of Europe. Germany is the largest democracy in Europe. Germany is Europe’s economic powerhouse. The well-being and prosperity of Germany is a benefit to all of us, because the well-being and prosperity of Germany is a prerequisite for the well-being and prosperity of Europe.

Today I am here, however, to warn you for looming disunity. Germany’s national identity, its democracy and economic prosperity, is being threatened by the political ideology of Islam. In 1848, Karl Marx began his Communist Manifesto with the famous words: “A specter is haunting Europe – the specter of communism.” Today, another specter is haunting Europe. It is the specter of Islam. This danger, too, is political. Islam is not merely a religion, as many people seem to think: Islam is mainly a political ideology.

This insight is not new.

I quote from the bestselling book and BBC television series The Triumph of the West which the renowned Oxford historian J.M. Roberts wrote in 1985: “Although we carelessly speak of Islam as a ‘religion’; that word carries many overtones of the special history of western Europe. The Muslim is primarily a member of a community, the follower of a certain way, an adherent to a system of law, rather than someone holding particular theological views.” The Flemish Professor Urbain Vermeulen, the former president of the European Union of Arabists and Islamicists, too, points out that “Islam is primarily a legal system, a law,” rather than a religion.

The American political scientist Mark Alexander writes that “One of our greatest mistakes is to think of Islam as just another one of the world’s great religions. We shouldn’t. Islam is politics or it is nothing at all, but, of course, it is politics with a spiritual dimension, … which will stop at nothing until the West is no more, until the West has … been well and truly Islamized.”

These are not just statements by opponents of Islam. Islamic scholars say the same thing. There cannot be any doubt about the nature of Islam to those who have read the Koran, the Sira and the Hadith. Abul Ala Maududi, the influential 20th century Pakistani Islamic thinker, wrote – I quote, emphasizing that these are not my words but those of a leading Islamic scholar – “Islam is not merely a religious creed [but] a revolutionary ideology and jihad refers to that revolutionary struggle … to destroy all states and governments anywhere on the face of theearth, which are opposed to the ideology and program of Islam.”

Ali Sina, an Iranian Islamic apostate who lives in Canada, points out that there is one golden rule that lies at the heart of every religion – that we do unto others as we would have them do unto us. In Islam, this rule only applies to fellow believers, but not to Infidels. Ali Sina says “The reason I am against Islam is not because it is a religion, but because it is a political ideology of imperialism and domination in the guise of religion. Because Islam does not follow the Golden Rule, it attracts violent people.”

A dispassionate study of the beginnings of Islamic history reveals clearly that Muhammad’s objective was first to conquer his own people, the Arabs, and to unify them under his rule, and then to conquer and rule the world. That was the original cause; it was obviously political and was backed by military force. “I was ordered to fight all men until they say ‘There is no god but Allah,’” Muhammad said in his final address. He did so in accordance with the Koranic command in sura 8:39: “Fight them until there is no more dissension and the religion is entirely Allah’s.”

According to the mythology, Muhammad founded Islam in Mecca after the Angel Gabriel visited him for the first time in the year 610. The first twelve years of Islam, when Islam was religious rather than political, were not a success. In 622, Muhammad emigrated to Yathrib, a predominantly Jewish oasis, with his small band of 150 followers. There he established the first mosque in history, took over political power, gave Yathrib the name of Medina, which means the “City of the Prophet,” and began his career as a military and a political leader who conquered all of Arabia. Tellingly, the Islamic calendar starts with the hijra, the migration to Medina – the moment when Islam became a political movement.

After Muhammad’s death, based upon his words and deeds, Islam developed Sharia, an elaborate legal system which justified the repressive governance of the world by divine right – including rules for jihad and for the absolute control of believers and non-believers. Sharia is the law of Saudi Arabia and Iran, among other Islamic states. It is also central to the Organization of the Islamic Conference, which in article 24 of its Cairo Declaration of Human Rights in Islam, proclaims that “all rights and freedoms are subject to the Islamic Sharia.” The OIC is not a religious institution; it is a political body. It constitutes the largest voting block in the United Nations and writes reports on so-called “Islamophobia” in Western Countries which accuse us of human rights violations. To speak in biblical terms: They look for a speck in our eye, but deny the beam in their own.

Under Sharia law people in the conquered territories have no legal rights, not even the right to life and to own property, unless they convert to Islam.

Before I continue, and in order to avoid any misunderstandings, I want to emphasize that I am talking about Islam, not about Muslims. I always make a clear distinction between the people and the ideology, between Muslims and Islam. There are many moderate Muslims, but the political ideology of Islam is not moderate and has global ambitions. It aims to impose Islamic law or Sharia upon the whole world. The way to achieve this is through jihad. The good news is that millions of Muslims around the world – including many in Germany and the Netherlands – do not follow the directives of Sharia, let alone engage in jihad. The bad news, however, is that those who do are prepared to use all available means to achieve their ideological, revolutionary goal.

In 1954, in his essay Communism and Islam, Professor Bernard Lewis spoke of “the totalitarianism, of the Islamic political tradition.” Professor Lewis said that “The traditional Islamic division of the world into the House of Islam and the House of War, … has obvious parallels in the Communist view of world affairs. … The aggressive fanaticism of the believer is the same.”

The American political scientist Mark Alexander states that the nature of Islam differs very little – and only in detail rather than style – from despicable and totalitarian political ideologies such as National-Socialism and Communism. He lists the following characteristics for these three ideologies.

* They use political purges to “cleanse” society of what they considere undesirable;

* They tolerate only a single political party. Where Islam allows more parties, it insists that all parties be Islamic ones;

* They coerce the people along the road that it must follow;

* They obliterate the liberal distinction between areas of private judgment and of public control;

* They turn the educational system into an apparatus for the purpose of universal indoctrination;

* They lay down rules for art, for literature, for science and for religion;

* They subdue people who are given second class status;

* They induce a frame of mind akin to fanaticism. Adjustment takes place by struggle and dominance;

* They are abusive to their opponents and regard any concession on their own part as a temporary expedient and on a rival’s part as a sign of weakness;

* They regard politics as an expression of power;

* They are anti-Semitic.

There is one more striking parallel, but this is not a characteristic of the three political ideologies, but one of the West. It is the apparent inability of the West to see the danger. The prerequisite to understanding political danger, is a willingness to see the truth, even if it is unpleasant. Unfortunately, modern Western politicians seem to have lost this capacity. Our inability leads us to reject the logical and historical conclusions to be drawn from the facts, though we could, and should know better. What is wrong with modern Western man that we make the same mistake over and over again?

There is no better place to ponder this question than here in Berlin, the former capital of the evil empire of Nazi Germany and a city which was held captive by the so-called German “Democratic” Republic for over forty years.

When the citizens of Eastern Europe rejected Communism in 1989, they were inspired by dissidents such as Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, Václav Havel, Vladimir Bukovsky, and others, who told them that people have a right, but also an obligation, to “live within the truth.” Freedom requires eternal vigilance; so it is with truth. Solzhenitsyn added, however, that “truth is seldom sweet; it is almost invariably bitter.” Let us face the bitter truth: We have lost our capacity to see the danger and understand the truth because we no longer value freedom.

Politicians from almost all establishment politicians today are facilitating Islamization. They are cheering for every new Islamic school, Islamic bank, Islamic court. They regard Islam as being equal to our own culture. Islam or freedom? It does not really matter to them. But it does matter to us. The entire establisment elite – universities, churches, trade unions, the media, politicians – are putting our hard-earned liberties at risk. They talk about equality, but amazingly fail to see how in Islam women have fewer rights than men and infidels have fewer rights than adherents of Islam.

Are we about to repeat the fatal mistake of the Weimar Republic? Are we succumbing to Islam because our commitment to freedom is already dead? No, it will not happen. We are not like Frau Merkel. We do not accept Islamization as inevitable. We have to keep freedom alive. And, to the extent that we have already lost it, we must reclaim it in our democratic elections. That is why we need political parties that defend freedom. To support such parties I have established the International Freedom Alliance.

As you know, I am standing trial in the Netherlands. On Monday, I have to go to court again and I will have to spend most of the coming month there. I have been brought to court because of my opinions on Islam and because I have voiced these opinions in speeches, articles and in my documentary film Fitna. I liveunder constant police protection because Islamic extremists want to assassinate me, and I am in court because the Dutch establishment – most of them non-Muslims – wants to silence me.

I have been dragged to court because in my country freedom can no longer be fully enjoyed. Unlike America, we do not have a First Amendment which guarantees people the freedom to express their opinions and foster public debate by doing so. Unlike America, in Europe the national state, and increasingly the European Union, prescribes how citizens – including democratically elected politicians such as myself – should think and what we are allowed to say.

One of the things we are no longer allowed to say is that our culture is superior to certain other cultures. This is seen as a discriminatory statement – a statement of hatred even. We are indoctrinated on a daily basis, in the schools and through the media, with the message that all cultures are equal and that, if one culture is worse than all the rest, it is our own. We are inundated with feelings of guilt and shame about our own identity and what we stand for. We are exhorted to respecteveryone and everything, except ourselves. That is the message of the Left and the politically-correct ruling establishment. They want us to feel so ashamedabout our own identity that we refuse to fight for it.

The detrimental obsession of our cultural and political elites with Western guilt reinforces the view which Islam has of us. The Koran says that non-Muslims are kuffar (the plural of kafir), which literally means “rejecters” or “ingrates.” Hence, infidels are “guilty.” Islam teaches that in our natural state we have all been born as believers. Islam teaches that if we are not believers today this is by our own or by our forefathers’ fault. Subsequently, we are always kafir – guilty – because either we or our fathers are apostates. And, hence, according to some, we deserve subjugation.

Our contemporary leftist intellectuals are blind to the dangers of Islam.

Former Soviet dissident Vladimir Bukovsky argues that after the fall of communism, the West failed to expose those who had collaborated with the Communists by advocating policies of détente, improved relations, relaxation of international tension, peaceful coexistence. He points out that the Cold War was “a war we never won. We never even fought it. … Most of the time the West engaged in a policy of appeasement toward the Soviet bloc – and appeasers don’t win wars.”

Islam is the Communism of today. But, because of our failure to come clean with Communism, we are unable to deal with it, trapped as we are in the old Communist habit of deceit and double-speak that used to haunt the countries in the East and that now haunts all of us. Because of this failure, the same leftist people who turned a blind eye to Communism then, turn a blind eye to Islam today. They are using exactly the same arguments in favor of détente, improved relations, and appeasement as before. They argue that our enemy is as peace-loving as we are, that if we meet him half-way he will do the same, that he only asks respect and that if we respect him he will respect us. We even hear a repetition of the old moral equivalence mantra. They used to say that Western “imperialism” was as bad as Soviet imperialism; they are now saying that Western “imperialism” is as bad as Islamic terrorism.

In my speech near Ground Zero in New York on September 11, I emphasized that we must stop the “Blame the West, Blame America”-game which Islamic spokesmen are playing with us. And we must stop playing this game ourselves. I have the same message for you. It is an insult to tell us that we are guilty and deserve what is happening to us. We do not deserve becoming strangers in our own land. We should not accept such insults. First of all, Western civilization is the freest and most prosperous on earth, which is why so many immigrants are moving here, instead of Westerners moving there. And secondly, there is no such thing as collective guilt. Free individuals are free moral agents who are responsible for their own deeds only.

I am very happy to be here in Berlin today to give this message which is extremely important, especially in Germany. Whatever happened in your country in the past, the present generation is not responsible for it. Whatever happened in the past, it is no excuse for punishing the Germans today. But it is also no excuse for you to refuse to fight for your own identity. Your only responsibility is to avoid the mistakes of the past. It is your duty to stand with those threatened by the ideology of Islam, such as the State of Israel and your Jewish compatriots. The Weimar Republic refused to fight for freedom and was overrun by a totalitarian ideology, with catastrophic consequences for Germany, the rest of Europe and the world. Do not fail to fight for your freedom today.

I am happy to be in your midst today because it seems that twenty years after German reunification, a new generation no longer feels guilty for being German. The current and very intense debate about Thilo Sarrazin’s recent book is an indication of the fact that Germany is coming to terms with itself.

I have not yet read Dr. Sarrazin’s book myself, but I understand that while the ruling politically-correct establishment is almost unanimously critical of his thesis and he lost his job, a large majority of Germans acknowledges that Dr. Sarrazin is addressing important and pressing issues. “Germany is abolishing itself,” warns Sarrazin, and he calls on the Germans to halt this process. The enormous impact of his book indicates that many Germans feel the same way. The people of Germany do not want Germany to be abolished, despite all the political indoctrination they have been subjected to. Germany is no longer ashamed to assert its national pride.

In these difficult times, where our national identity is under threat, we must stop feeling guilty about who we are. We are not “kafir,” we are not guilty. Like other peoples, Germans have the right to remain who they are. Germans must not become French, nor Dutch, nor Americans, nor Turks. They should remain Germans. When the Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan visited your country in 2008, he told the Turks living here that they had to remain Turks. He literally said that “assimilation is a crime against humanity.” Erdogan would have been right if he had been addressing the Turks in Turkey. However, Germany is the land of the Germans. Hence, the Germans have a right to demand that those who come to live in Germany assimilate; they have the right – no they have a duty to their children – to demand that newcomers respect the German identity of the German nation and Germany’s right to preserve its identity.

We must realize that Islam expands in two ways. Since it is not a religion, conversion is only a marginal phenomenon. Historically, Islam expanded either by military conquest or by using the weapon of hijra, immigration. Muhammad conquered Medina through immigration. Hijra is also what we are experiencing today. The Islamization of Europe continues all the time. But the West has no strategy for dealing with the Islamic ideology, because our elites say that we must adapt to them rather than the other way round.

There is a lesson which we can learn in this regard from America, the freest nation on earth. Americans are proud of their nation, its achievements and its flag. We, too, should be proud of our nation. The United States has always been a nation of immigrants. U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt was very clear about the duty of immigrants. Here is what he said: “We should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else … But this is predicated upon the man’s becoming in very fact an American, and nothing but an American. … There can be no divided allegiance here. … We have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.”

It is not up to me to define what Germany’s national identity consists of. That is entirely up to you. I do know, however, that German culture, like that of neighboring countries, such as my own, is rooted in judeo-christian and humanist values. Every responsible politician has a political obligation to preserve these values against ideologies which threaten them. A Germany full of mosques and veiled women is no longer the Germany of Goethe, Schiller and Heine, Bach and Mendelssohn. It will be a loss to us all. It is important that you cherish and preserve your roots as a nation. Otherwise you will not be able to safeguard your identity; you will be abolished as a people, and you will lose your freedom. And the rest of Europe will lose its freedom with you.

My friends, when Ronald Reagan came to a divided Berlin 23 years ago he uttered the historic words „Mister Gorbachev, tear down this wall.” President Reagan was not an appeaser, but a man who spoke the truth because he loved freedom. Today, we, too, must tear down a wall. It is not a wall of concrete, but of denial and ignorance about the real nature of Islam. The International Freedom Alliance aims to coordinate and stimulate these efforts.

Because we speak the truth, voters have given my party, the Partij voor de Vrijheid, and other parties, such as the Dansk Folkeparti and the Schweizerische Volkspartei, the power to influence the political decision process, whether that be in opposition or in government or by supporting a minority government – as we want to do in the Netherlands. President Reagan showed that by speaking the truth one can change the course of history. He showed that there is no need to despair. Never! Just do your duty. Be not afraid. Speak the truth. Defend Freedom. Together we can preserve freedom, together we must preserve freedom, and together, my friends, we will be able to preserve freedom.

Thank you.

Geert Wilders Presents: 5 Steps Americans Must Take to Avoid the Fate of Islamized Europe

BY RHONDA ROBINSON
POSTED ON MAY 17 2011 12:35 PM

Never before have I walked into a church to be greeted by a barrier of armed police with metal detector wands. Nor have I had to let officers open my purse to search for weapons before I could enter a sanctuary—that is, until now.

That was when Geert Wilders came to speak at Cornerstone Church in Nashville, Tennessee. He came to warn America, to warn Christians. He came to wake up the Bible Belt to the threat of Islam. But before a single word was spoken, these ominous signs foreshadowed the truth of what was yet to come.

Geert Wilders is not a president, royalty, or anyone most of us would recognize on the street. And yet, as he took the podium to a loud applause and standing ovation, Wilders stood flanked with security constantly scanning the crowd, reminiscent of our own presidential secret service.

Why all the fuss for a representative from the Netherlands—a politician? Because he is a rare and endangered species; he is willing to speak the truth about what is happening in Europe. He refuses to submit to Islam or be bound and gagged by the power of the politically correct.

For this, he is facing a 16-month jail sentence by his own government for the high crime of “hate-speech.” Even more profound is that he is the constant target for assassination from the “misunderstanders of Islam.”

Wilders opened by telling the crowd he was happy to be there — happy to be able to speak freely, without the fear of being carted off to jail once he stepped out of the door. A concept hard for us here in the U.S. to grasp, but it is the stark reality of Europeans today.

He came with a very sobering warning, and a list of five things we must do now without fail, if we are to save our western culture and values.

“My friends, I am sorry. I am here today with an unpleasant message. I am here with a warning. I am here with a battle cry: “Wake up, Christians of Tennessee. Islam is at your gate.” Do not make the mistake which Europe made. Do not allow Islam to gain a foothold here.”

“My dear American friends, you cannot imagine how we envy your First Amendment. The day when America follows the example of Europe and Canada and introduces so-called “hate speech crimes” which is only used to punish people who are critical of Islam, that day America will have lost its freedom.”

Wilders’ warning…

Dear friends, here is my warning.

Make no mistake: Islam is also coming for America. In fact, it is already here. America is facing a stealth jihad, the Islamic attempt to introduce sharia law bit by bit. Last March, a judge in Tampa, Florida, ruled that a lawsuit against a mosque and involving the control of 2.4 million dollars, should proceed under Islamic law.

My friends, be aware that this is only the beginning. This is also how it started in Europe. If things continue like this, you will soon have the same problems as we are currently facing.

While Tennessee is in the frontline, similar legislative initiatives are also being taken in the states of Oklahoma, Wyoming, South Carolina, Texas, Florida, Missouri, Arizona, Indiana. It is encouraging to see that so many politicians are willing to resist Islam.

This gives us hope and courage. I am not a pessimist. We can still turn the tide – even in Europe – if we act today.

“How did the Europeans get into this situation? It is partly our own fault because we have foolishly adopted the concept of cultural relativism, which manifests itself in the ideology of multiculturalism.Cultural relativism advocates that all cultures are equal. However, cultures wither away and die if people no longer believe that its values are better than those of another culture.
Islam is spreading like wildfire wherever people lack the guts to say that their values are better than the Islamic values.

Islam is spreading like wildfire because the Koran explicitly tells Muslims that they are “the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind” and that non-Muslims are “the worst of creatures.”

Islam is spreading like wildfire everywhere in the West where political, academic, cultural and media elites lack the guts to proudly proclaim, as I believe we all should proclaim:

Our Judeo-Christian Western culture is far better and far superior to the Islamic culture. We must be proud to say so!

Are we proud to say so? Or do we live in fear of verbal assault?

Just as the truth no longer matters in Europe, it no longer matters in our classrooms or textbooks. Our government-run schools are inundated with the value system of multiculturalism. Leftist professors teach American history through the Marxist lens of Howard Zinn. Colored by his hatred of our Western values, generations have been painted a picture of America as nothing more than a predator and oppressor.

Multiculturalism is a disaster. Almost everyone acknowledges this today, but few dare say why. Let me tell you why: Multiculturalism made us tolerate the intolerant, and now intolerance is annihilating tolerance.

We should, in the name of tolerance, claim the right not to tolerate the intolerant. Let us no longer be afraid and politically correct, let us be brave and bold. Let us tell the truth about Islam.

While Muslims are convinced that they are the “best of peoples” and non-Muslims are “the worst of creatures” their leftist enablers here in America clear the way for us to walk the same path as Europe. If we continue, we do so at our own pearl.

Wilders warns:

We can see what Islam has in store for us if we watch the fate of the Christians in the Islamic world, such as the Copts in Egypt, the Maronites in Lebanon, the Assyrians in Iraq, and Christians elsewhere.

Almost every day, churches are arsoned and Christians are assassinated in Islamic countries.

In a report on the persecution of Christians in the world, Archbishop Twal of Jerusalem, wrote recently– I quote: “In the Middle East to be Christian means accepting that you must make a great sacrifice. All too often and in many places, Christians suffer various threats. On some occasions, their homes and churches are burnt, and people are killed. How many atrocities must we endure before somebody somewhere comes to our aid?” – end of quote.

Rivers of tears are flowing from the Middle East, where there is only one safe haven for Christians. You know where that is. The only place in the Middle East where Christians are safe is Israel.

That is why Israel deserves our support. Israel is a safe haven for everyone, whatever their belief and opinions. Israel is a beacon of light in a region of total darkness. Israel is fighting our fight.

The jihad against Israel is a jihad against all of us. If Israel falls, we, too, will feel the consequences. If Jerusalem falls, Athens, Rome, Amsterdam and Nashville will fall. Therefore, we all are Israel.

Lest you think that this is a remote possibility, let me assure you Nashville, the heart of the Bible-belt has already become a “hotbed” for Islamic activity.

While responding to charges of “bigotry” and “hate” for hosting the Wilder event (the typical meme of the Left) Lou Ann Zelenik had to point out what we all should have been acutely aware of. Zelenick writes in the Tennessean:

In 2004, an Iraqi immigrant to Nashville, Ahmed Uqualy, was arrested for stockpiling weaponry and plotting terror attacks against Jews as part of what he explained was his “going jihad.”

In 2007, a Nashville Somali taxi driver, Ibrahim Ahmed, ran down a student with his cab after getting into an argument over religion and praising Hitler for wanting to “cleanse” the world of the Jews. The student was critically injured.

In 2010, Vanderbilt’s Saudi-educated Muslim chaplain Awadh Binhazim was caught on camera claiming that Islam demands homosexuals be put to death.

And just this March, Memphian Melvin Bledsoe testified to Congress about his son Carlos. Carlos had converted to radical Islam, received terrorist training in Yemen, and returned to the United States; where he tried to firebomb a Nashville rabbi’s house and went on to kill an Army recruiter in Little Rock, Ark. According to Mr. Bledsoe’s testimony, it was the imam of Nashville’s Al Farouq mosque who recommended Carlos to his Yemeni contacts.

“First, we must defend freedom of speech.

Freedom is the source of human creativity and development. People and nations wither away without the freedom to question what is presented to them as the truth.

Without freedom of speech we risk becoming slaves. Frederick Douglass, the 19th century black American politician, the son of a slave, said – I quote – “To suppress free speech is a double wrong. It violates the rights of the hearer as well as those of the speaker.”

I have already told you about my court case. This legal charade will not, however, prevent me from saying the truth. Never. I will speak out, even if they drag me before 500 courts and threaten to jail me for a thousand years.

The fact that we are being treated as criminals for telling the truth must not deter us. We are doomed if we remain silent or let ourselves be silenced. Let us not forget, this is our first and most important obligation: defend the right to speak the truth.

“The fact that we are being treated as criminals for telling the truth must not deter us.” The fact that they are being treated as criminals for telling the truth should terrify, and must embolden us.

“Second, we must end cultural relativism and political correctness.”

We must repeat it over and over again, especially to our children: Our Western culture based on Christianity and Judaism is superior to the Islamic culture. Our laws are superior to sharia. Our Judeo-Christian values are better than Islam’s totalitarian rules.

And because they are superior and better, we must defend them. We must fight for our own identity, or else we will lose it. We need to be warriors for the good, because the good is worth fighting for. Neutrality in the face of evil is evil.

“Neutrality in the face of evil is evil.” We have been silenced by cultural relativism, collective racial guilt, and political correctness for too long. The doctrine of political correctness, is nothing but the Left’s tool to silence truth. It has been a very effective tool, now it has turned deadly.

The values we embrace allow Muslims to practice a religion, not a political ideology of superiority. In our culture, church and state, synagogue and state, mosque and state are separate. This is the way it is in Christian and Jewish nations.

Is it also in Muslim nations? No. Simply put, Muslim nations consider Western style governments to be devised by man. Whereas a Muslim government is under the law of “Allah.” Therefore they conclude, that Muslim culture is superior, and must be dominant. This is not compatible with Western civilization.

They know it. It’s time we realize it.

“Third, we must stop the Islamization of our countries.”

More Islam means less freedom. There is enough Islam in the West already. We must stop immigration from non-Western countries, which are mostly Islamic countries. We must expel criminal immigrants. We must forbid the construction of new hate palaces called mosques.

We must also close down all Islamic schools because educating children in a spirit of hate is one of the worst things imaginable. We must introduce anti-sharia legislation everywhere in the free world. Enough is enough.

Moammar Khadafi once said,

There are signs that Allah will grant Islam victory in Europe– without swords, without guns, without conquests…Europe will turn it into a Muslim continent within a few decades.

The mass immigration we are seeing is not due merely to educational and occupational opportunities. It is part of the Muslim obligation to spread Islam to other nations. Muslims are forbidden to adopt their host country’s customs and values. Rather, they are to sway the host country to accommodate.

We see snippets of this where communities have segregated swimming for men and women, taxi drivers refuse customers carrying alcohol, separate prayer rooms for students and employees, dietary accommodations. These demands are not made right away on an individual basis. Rather, they are calculated– conquest through migration. It has been a successful tactic since the days of their prophet.

“Fourth, we must take pride in our nations again.”

We must cherish and preserve the culture and identity of our country. Preserving our own culture and identity is the best antidote against Islamization.

Bin Laden’s attack on September 11, struck the heart of America alright– like the electric shock revives a failing heart. What was meant to kill us, made us stronger. At least for a time.

Then with the election of Barack Obama, and the Left running rampant, there’s finally been enough manure spread across America that it became fertile soil for some new growth. The emergence of the Tea Party is a good sign that our Republic can still bear fruit.

It’s time to restore our pride in our country, and stop allowing the Left to define our culture.

And fifth, last but certainly not least, we must elect wise and courageous leaders who are brave enough to address the problems which are facing us, including the threat of Islam.
Politicians who have the courage to speak the truth about Islam.

Have we grown accustomed, and dull of hearing to the news that innocent people are being killed in Israel, because they exist? Almost daily we are seeing pictures of churches on fire and Christians murdered. Geert Wilders’ team of security, the concerns of local police and the track record of Islamic violence, should indeed serve as a wake up call.

Now, consider this: Geert Wilder did not risk his life to come here and warn us of another attack. He came to warn us of a much more imminent danger, the stealth jihad being waged in our own backyard while we sleep.

Geert Wilders Address to the Dutch Court

There is a very real sense in which Geert Wilders speaks for the liberties of us all:Mr. President, members of the court, I would like to only use a few minutes of my right to speak.

And I would like to begin by saying that of all our attainments, freedom is the most precious and most vulnerable. It is what people have dedicated their lives to and what people have given their lives for. Our freedom in this country is the fruit of centuries. It is the result of a history that has no equal and has brought us to where we are today.

I believe with all my heart and soul that the freedom is threatened in the Netherlands. That heritage, which generations could only dream of, is precisely this freedom which is no longer a given fact, no longer a matter self-evidence.

I dedicate my life to defending our freedom. I know what the risks are and I every day again, pay the price for that. I do not complain about it; it is my own decision. I see it as my duty and therefore I am standing here today.

I know that the words I use are sometimes tough, but they are never reckless. It is not my intention to spare the ideology of conquest and destruction, but neither do I intend to offend people.

I have nothing against Muslims. I have a problem with the Islam and the Islamization of our country because Islam is at right angles to freedom.

Future generations will wonder how we, in 2010, at this location, in this room, served our most precious asset. Whether the freedom is for both sides in this debate and thus also for Islam-critics. Or whether in the Netherlands only one side of the debate may be heard. Whether freedom of speech in the Netherlands applies to everyone, or only to some.

The answer to that is immediately also the answer to the question whether freedom still has a home in this country.

Freedom has but never been owned by a small group, but has always been the heritage of us all. We have all been blessed by it.

Lady Justice wears a blindfold, but she can hear perfectly well, she can listen perfectly well. And I hope she, Lady Justice, will hear the following phrases sound, loud and clear:

“It is not only the right, but also the duty of free people to speak out against any ideology that threatens freedom.”

Thomas Jefferson, the third president of the United States, was right:

“The price for freedom is eternal vigilance.”

I hope with all I have in me that freedom of expression in this trial will prevail. Not only that I will be acquitted, but that the freedom of speech will continue to exist.

Finally, Mr. Chairman, members of the court. In this trial it of course is about the freedom of expression. But in this trial it is certainly also about finding the truth. The statements I have made, the comparisons I have drawn — are they true? As mentioned in the summons? Because if something is true, how can it be illegal?

Therefore I ask you strongly not only to grant my request for the hearing of witnesses and experts in the field of freedom of speech. But I also ask you explicitly to honor my requests for the hearing of witnesses and experts on the field of Islam, all in full publicity. I hereby am not only referring to the gentleman Jansen and Admiraal but also on the expert witnesses from Israel, the United States, the United Kingdom and other countries. Preferably, all.

I must have the ability to defend myself. I must prove you that I have spoken the truth, please do not obstruct me from that. Because without these witnesses, I cannot defend myself well and in my view it will be out of the question that this is a fair trial.

Thank you.
